The Vic Elford Porsche 907 he shared with Umberto Maglioli is shown racing through the main street of Cerda.  Despite losing 20 minutes with wheel and tyre problems, the English driver drove an inspired race to snatch victory from Alfa Romeo, setting a new lap record and average speed record in the process.
